City sets ‘Dump the Junk’

The City of Fayetteville will be holding its annual Dump the Junk Community Spring Cleanup for May 3-11.

During that time, the city will conduct curb side pick-up inside its corporate limits for items such as limbs, leaves, household trash, rugs, auto batteries, tires (limit four), and household appliances. Items that will not be accepted include dirt, rocks, and construction material.

For information or if you need assistance taking debris and unwanted items to your curb, call the Fayetteville Municipal Building at (931) 433-6154.

The project is being done by the City of Fayetteville, Keep Fayetteville/Lincoln County Beautiful, Fayetteville Main Street and the Fayetteville/Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce.

As always, paint and electronics are accepted at the Fayetteville Recycling Center. As a note, if you need only a small amount of paint, ask at the recycling center before you buy.
