Deputies set sobriety checkpoints
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department and the Governor’s Highway Safety Office will be conducting sobriety roadside checkpoints on April 25 on Huntsville Highway near mile marker two.
Impaired driving is a serious crime that kills 16,000 and injures 305,000 others every year in the United States.
Deputies will evaluate drivers for signs of alcohol or drug impairment. Deputies will target those who operate a motor vehicle while impaired and take actions for other violations observed while impaired and take actions for other violations observed while ensuring the protection of all motorists.
