Foundation focuses fundraising efforts on Home Health, Hospice
The Lincoln County Health System Foundation will concentrate all fundraising efforts this year on Lincoln Medical Home Health & Hospice.
“Each year the foundation chooses an item to focus all their fundraising goals around,” explains Debbie Pruitt, Foundation President. “Last year all money raised by the Foundation went to the purchase of the new canopy and drive at the Patrick Rehab and Wellness Center.
“In the past, we have been blessed to help the EMS, the Chest Pain Center and the Care Centers. We saw it only fitting to include an agency that gives so much to its community.”
“Lincoln Medical Home Health & Hospice is an agency that has touched many lives of the people in Lincoln County,” explains Susie Compton, administrator for LMC Home Health & Hospice. “We are part of a locally owned, not-for-profit health system that can provide an excellent continuum of care and meet the needs of the citizens of Lincoln County and surrounding communities. For over 30 years we have been committed to the unwavering dedication to high quality home health and end of life care that is the cornerstone of our agency.
“We are privileged to have provided home care to residents of our community for such a long time and we welcome questions from individuals who are interested in the services we can provide at Lincoln Medical Home Health and Hospice. We are delighted that the Foundation has chosen our agency this year. We are grateful for their outpouring of love.”
“We are currently making plans for our biggest fundraiser of the year, that being our annual Boston Butt Sale,” continues Pruitt. “This year the sale is very special as we are dedicating it in the memory of our beloved David Groce, the late CFO of the Lincoln County Health System and active Foundation supporter. We have decided to call it the David Groce Memorial Boston Butt Sale, as David was instrumental in making this sale a success each year.”
The sale is planned for Saturday, May 24, from 11 a. m. until 1:30 p.m. in the parking lot of Gerald’s Foodland. Tickets are sold in advance and can be reserved by calling 438-7620.
