Auxiliary members honored for service

Auxiliary honored --Barbara Newman and Jean Arnold were honored recently by fellow Auxiliary members for their many years of service.

Ms. Newman served as the gift shop chairperson, and Ms. Arnold as president and co-chairperson of the Auxiliary.

“They have both offered many years of dedicated service to the Auxiliary and we will forever be grateful to them,” said Agnes Barnes, Auxiliary president.

Arnold and Newman have been members of the Auxiliary for over 10 years. Over the years, they have watched the gift shop grow. From the worldwide beanie baby phenomenon, to the sale of fine jewelry and flowers, their inventory continued to flourish.

The Lincoln Medical Center Auxiliary is a non-profit organization formed in 1982 by a group who had a strong desire to assist the health system by volunteering to enhance the quality of care provided to patients, their families and our community.

The Lincoln Medical Center Gift Galleria is solely operated by the volunteers of the Auxiliary. The Gift Galleria is located in the front lobby of Lincoln Medical Center and is a treat for those who patronize it. The Gift Galleria is not only a beautiful area, but also boasts a stock of wonderful gifts and personal items.

One hundred percent of proceeds raised go back to the Health System to purchase many needed items that may not be included in the health system’s budget.  The Gift Galleria accepts cash, checks, and most major credit cards. Stop by and see what all there is to offer.
