A revival will be held at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church from Monday, March 17, through Friday, March 21, beginning at 7 p.m. nightly. The speaker is Bro. Spencer Hariman. An appreciation service honoring Bro. Coleman March Jr., will be hosted by Brown’s Temple A.M.E. Church and surrounding community churches/organizations on Saturday, March 22, beginning at 5 p.m. at Lincoln County High School. Choirs are invited to do an A & B selection. New Haysland Missionary Baptist Church of the Howell community will host a Prayer Breakfast on Saturday, March 22, beginning at 10:30 a.m. in honor of Women’s History Month. The theme is Health and Beauty for the Christian Woman. Guest speakers will be Dr. Jacenda Davidson and Minister Michelle Bell. Everyone is welcome. Pastor Craig Carmichael’s second anniversary will be celebrated by the members of the Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church on Sunday, March 23. The speaker will be Pastor Eddie Richardson of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Wartrace. Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m., morning worship at 11 a.m. The celebration will continue at 3 p.m. with Pastor Wayne Jones and the congregation of New Haysland Missionary Baptist Church in Howell. Everyone is welcome. Fayetteville’s Mount Zion is located at 305 West Maple Street.

 

John Long Noonday Bible Ministry is being held each Wednesday at 12 noon at St. Paul AME Church at 521 West College St. This Bible Study is open to everyone but especially to those who are unable to attend an evening Bible Study.  If you work at night, unable to drive at night, or if your church doesn’t hold Bible Study, etc., members invite you to join them each Wednesday as they study the Word of God. The Women of the Way Bible Study series continues Monday, March 24, at the Fayetteville Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, 1720 Huntsville Hwy. The study is entitled A Woman of (Self) Control vs. A Controlling Woman, presented by Debbie McAlister. Donations will benefit the Child Development Center. Registration and refreshments are from 5:30-6 p.m. The study begins at 6 p.m.

 

A gospel singing will be held at 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 30, at Kelly’s Creek Baptist Church at 6 Savannah Road in Ardmore. The singing will feature Denise Hopkins-Jaco of Toney, Ala. For information, call (256) 828-0386.

 

The Women of the Way Bible Study series continues Monday, March 31, at the First Baptist Church, 210 North Elk Ave. The study is entitled A Woman of Power vs. A Powerful Woman, presented by Betty Lawrence. Donations will benefit Stewart’s Chapel Mission Trip and may include single wrapped paper towels, four-pack toilet tissue, and small bottles of liquid dish soap. Registration and refreshments are from 5:30-6 p.m. The study begins at 6 p.m.
