Soil Conservation banquet held

Lincoln County landowners, producers and community members joined the Lincoln county Soil Conservation District during its 6th Annual Awards Banquet held recently at Lincoln County High School.

Honored during the event were the 2013 Star in Conservation, poster contest winners and the Lincoln County Home School Envirothon Team.

Guest speakers included Sen. Jim Tracy, Congressman DesJarlais’ Field Representative Isiah Robinson, Tennessee Department of Agriculture Watershed Coordinator Clark Hollis and FSA Loans Manager Keith Clay.

The evening was filled with good company and conservation stewardship.

The Soil Conservation District would like to give a special thanks to Scivally Grain Company for sponsoring the dinner, which was prepared by Pedro Reyes, the husband of the District Secretary, Janet Reyes.

The district thanked their partners, the Natural Resources Conservation Services and Lincoln County FSA for all the assistance at the banquet.
