Hands of Mercy sets mobile pantry
Hands of Mercy Outreach Center’s next Mobile Pantry will be held Friday, March 14, with food distribution beginning at 11 a.m. at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds Exhibit Building.
In addition to the food distribution, a tent will be set up so that parents may register their children for the “Soles of Hope” shoe distribution held in conjunction with the Hands of Mercy Back-to-School Mobile Pantry.
A limited number of sign-ups for shoes will be taken that day.
All clients should provide proof of Lincoln County residency for shoes and food.
“Soles of Hope” is a Hope Assembly ministry, through which the church buys and supplies the shoes to those who register.
A second opportunity to sign up for shoes will be held during Hope Assembly’s Easter Family Day on April 19 from 12 until 3 p.m.
The shoes will be passed out during the July 26 distribution, in conjunction with Hands of Mercy’s Back-to-School Mobile Pantry. Hands of Mercy provides backpacks for children, and the community and churches will have an opportunity to donate school supplies at designated drop-off points at a later date.
Volunteers who would like to help with the March 14 event should be at the fairgrounds at 10 a.m.
