Ninth Grade Academy’s Lady Falcons went down at home Monday night, 57-36, to Shelbyville. Thursday, the ladies fell to Giles County, 60-31
Against the Lady Bobcats, the ladies trailed 17-10 at the end of one, but Giles broke the game open, taking the second frame, 22-5, up 39-15 at the intermission. The Lady ‘Cats took the second half, 21-16, for the win.
Brooke Ferguson finished with 10; Breanna Glynn and Carly Fee, 6; Kate Porter, 5; Lauren Bradley and Ashton Moran had 2.
Ferguson had two from the arch, and Fee had one. From the line, the ladies were 6 of 14.
Monday in action against the Lady Eagles, the ladies trailed 15-10 at the end of one but battled back in the second, winning the period 12-7. At the intermission, it was knotted at 22-22.
But, the Lady Eagles dominated the second half, winning the two periods, 35-14, for the win.
Brooke Ferguson led for the Lady Falcons with 9; Macey Corder, 7; Carly Fee, 6; Breanna Flynn, 4; Anna Bradley, 3; Kate Porter, Lauren Bradley and Leslie Frye, 2; and Hope Foster had 1.
Ferguson hit three from the arch and Bradley had one. From the line, the ladies were 10 of 20.
Prior to the Thanksgiving break, the ladies were defeated at home by Franklin County, 45-28.
