Mae Frances “Chick” Abbott, 69, of Fayetteville, died Sunday (Nov. 17, 2013) at her residence. She was employed by Amana Refrigeration and was a faithful member of St. Paul AME Church. Funeral services were held Saturday at the St. Paul AME Church with the Rev. Chris Grizzard officiating. Burial followed in Pleasant View Cemetery. Debra Ann Bolton, 62, of Paint Rock, Ala., died Sunday (Nov. 17, 2013) in Jackson County, Ala. She was a nurse and a member of Steppingstones Ministries and Outreach. Billie Sue Rozar Bryant, 67, of Petersburg, died Wednesday (Nov. 20, 2013) in St. Thomas Hospital. A native of Lincoln County, Mrs. Bryant was the daughter of the late Willie B. and Nadine Honey Rozar. She was retired from Redstone Arsenal and was a member of the Howell Church of Christ. Survivors include a son, Kevin Bryant, and wife, Shannon, of Petersburg; two brothers, Mike Rozar and wife, Dianne, of Taft and Ray Rozar and wife, Judy, of Fayetteville; three grandchildren, Whitney Bryant, Shelby Towry and Raven Beard. Mrs. Bryant was preceded in death by her parents, Willie B. and Nadine Honey Rozar; husband, Lonnie Herman Bryant; infant son, Lonnie Troy Bryant; and son, Marty Bryant. Funeral services were conducted Saturday at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Don Hudson officiating. Burial followed in Booneville Cemetery beside her husband, Lonnie Herman Bryant, who passed away in 2009. The family requests memorials to the Howell Church of Christ. Louise R. Dugan, 92, of Hazel Green, Ala., died Wednesday (Nov. 20, 2013) at Huntsville Hospital. She was a homemaker and of the Missionary Baptist faith. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Bro. Michael Wimberly officiating. Burial followed in Briar Fork Cemetery. Maggie “Mama” Dee Turner Frey, 88, of Ardmore, Ala., died Saturday (Nov. 23, 2013) at her home. Graveside funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Elkton Cemetery in Elkton. Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Hilda Victoria Kirschner Gilliam, 85, of Fayetteville, died Saturday (Nov. 23, 2013) at her residence. She was a native of Dade County, Fla., and the daughter of the late Erick and Justina Sanchez Kirschner. She was a homemaker and a member of the Catholic Church. Survivors include her daughter, Jean Woodall and husband, John, of Flintville; brother, Charles Young and wife, Liz, of Atlanta, Ga.; grandchildren, Laura Stewart and husband, Brad, of Blanche, Chris Young and wife, Carolyn, of Atlanta, Ga.; and sister, Betty Blake of Miami, Fla. There are no services planned. Higgins Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Cecil R. Kimbrough, 69, of Flintville, died Sunday morning (Nov. 24, 2013) at his residence. Mr. Kimbrough was a native of Lincoln County, the son of the late Lem Greenville and Stella Virginia Smith Kimbrough. He was retired from PPG Industries and was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Ava Kimbrough of Flintville; daughter, Lesley K. Hatley and husband, Luther, of Flintville; sons, Kevin Kimbrough and wife, Leslie, of Flintville, Daniel Kimbrough and wife, Tiffany, of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Briana, Trey, Serenity, Koda, Jake, Cade, Morgan, Ben Kimbrough, Cooper Davidson; step-grandchildren, Logan and Caylen Hatley; sisters, Mary Patterson of Fayetteville, Brenda Speck of Flintville; brothers, M.C. Kimbrough, William Kimbrough and Laverne Kimbrough, all of Alabama. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Elisha Kimbrough. Benjamin “Bennie” Wilson Maxwell, 59, of Fayetteville, died Wednesday (Nov. 20, 2013) at Lincoln Medical Center. He was born in Lincoln County and was a retail inventory specialist. Louise Price May, 94, of Fayetteville, died Monday (Nov. 18, 2013) at Donalson Care Center in Fayetteville. She was the daughter of the late Byrd and Lucy Qualls Price and was retired from Serbin Manufacturing in Fayetteville. Mrs. May was a member of the Howell Hill Church of Christ. Survivors include a son, Philip William May and wife, Betty, of Lowell, Ind.; daughter, Willa Dean Reed and husband, Rayburn, of Fayetteville; daughter-in-law, Hilda May of Lowell, Ind.; grandchildren, Steve Frassrand and wife, Joan, and Barry Reed, all of Fayetteville, Carla Burton and husband, Derrick of Murfreesboro, Allen May and wife, Misty, Sheila Steward and husband, Todd, and Jacki Mitsch, all of Lowell, Ind., Sheryl Radoe and husband, Ron, Duana Green and husband, Jay, all of Hebron, Ind., Donald May of Saint John, Ind.; two sisters, Wilma Golden of Fayetteville and Birdie Dudley of Huntsville, Ala.; 21 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. May was preceded in death by her daughter, Robbie Lackey; son, Donald Wayne May; granddaughter, Donna Strong; six sisters and five brothers. Walter L. (Shorty) Pittman, 84, of Ardmore, Ala., died Saturday (Nov. 23, 2013) at Athens Rehab and Senior Center in Athens, Ala. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving on the U.S.S. Ajax destroyer in the Korean Conflict. Funeral services were held Monday at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home with Gary Hargrove officiating. Interment was in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Ardmore, Ala. Donna S. Randolph, 44, of Flintville, died Thursday night (Nov. 21, 2013) in Donalson Care Center. A native of Lincoln County, Ms. Randolph was the daughter of the late Harvey Martin and Betty Bartlett Moorehead, who survives. She was a former employee of Cinram Group in Huntsville, Ala. Survivors, in addition to her mother, include a son, Darek Arnold of Flintville; daughters, Kelsey Arnold of Murfreesboro and Pam Warren of Kelso; a brother, Tony Martin of Flintville; two sisters, Christy Clements of Ardmore, Ala., and Judy Martin of Fayetteville; and a granddaughter, Kylee Arnold of Flintville. Funeral services were conducted Sunday at Higgins Funeral Home with Bros. Sonny Moore and Dan Bolin officiating. Burial followed in the Randolph Cemetery. Mario Jerome “M J” Talley, Jr., 79, died Friday (Nov. 15, 2013). He was a retired supervisor for International Harvester. Visitation and funeral services were held Thursday at A.D.
