Thanksgiving Dinner will be served on Wednesday, Nov. 27, at St. Paul AME Church, located at 521 West College Street, from noon until 1 p.m., during the afternoon Bible study led by the Rev. Vanessa Holman, associate minister. There is no charge for the dinner. Call Thomas Kemp at 433-0252 for more information. Anyone desiring a hot meal and Christian fellowship is invited to attend. St. Paul has Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. and worship service at 11 a.m. each Sunday. Bible study is held at noon and 6 p.m. every Wednesday. The Rev. Chris Grizzard is pastor.

 

Thanksgiving Day lunch will be held on Nov. 28 at noon in the fellowship hall of Booneville United Methodist Church. If you would like to attend, call Patsy Wilkes Moore at 931-308-3190 a week before Thanksgiving so that organizers can have a head count for the number being served. Volunteers are also welcome to assist.

 

MFM Financial Literacy Seminar Series continues at the Fayetteville First Seventh Day Adventist Church. Dr. Theodore Brown Sr., PhD, MBA, is the presenter. Session IV is to be held on Nov. 30 at 3 p.m., Effective Strategies for Getting Out of Debt. SDA Church is located at 385 William D. Jones Boulevard, Fayetteville.

 

Surviving the Holidays, help for those dealing with grief during the holidays, is set for Dec. 5 from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. at West End Baptist Church. No matter how long it’s been since your loved one died, grief can make the holidays a painful time. But, there’s hope. John Long Noonday Bible Ministry is being held each Wednesday at 12 noon at St. Paul AME Church at 521 West College St. This Bible Study is open to everyone but especially to those who are unable to attend an evening Bible Study.  If you work at night, unable to drive at night, or if your church doesn’t hold Bible Study, etc., members invite you to join them each Wednesday as they study the Word of God.
