‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ opens
The Carriage House Players’ production of It’s a Wonderful Life is set to open Thursday night at 7 p.m. at the Lincoln County Museum Theatre.
This is a play adapted for the stage by James W. Rodgers and based on the film by Frank Capra. It is directed by Krysa Spears, who is joined by Assistant Director, Sonia Bradford and Technical Director, Ben Spears.
CHP is excited to welcome several new actors to its upcoming performance of It’s a Wonderful Life. “One of the great things about this particular show is the number of newcomers we had at auditions, many of whom we were able to cast,” said Krysa Spears.
Cast members who are new to CHP include Steven Miller, who plays the lead role of George Bailey, Rickey Morgan as Ernie, Hayley Evans as Bank Examiner Carter, Sherrie Noles playing Mrs. Thompson, Dowell Burnett in the role of Mr. Welch, Kevin Carodine as the newsboy and Alana Bryant playing Zuzu Bailey.
“We are always looking to broaden our group and I think we’ve got some great new talent. We’re hoping they will come back to participate in the future and maybe encourage a friend to get involved, as well.”
Returning to the CHP stage are Craig Carodine (Clarence Odbody), Laura Spears (Mary Hatch Bailey), Steve George (Mr. Potter), Angie Beyer (Ma Bailey), Nancy West (Aunt Tilly), David Grant (Uncle Billy), Tina Beddingfield (Violet Peterson), Ben Spears (Harry Bailey), Allen Booth (Mr. Gower), Brenda Wilkes (Mrs. Hatch & Mrs. Martini), Jennifer Bradford (Miss Andrews), Lonnie Ables (Bert), Will Clark (Young George & Sam Wainwright), Carla Kelley (Mr. Potter’s secretary), Trey Kimbrough (Peter Bailey), Andrew Dixon (Tommy Bailey) & Sara Clark (Janie Bailey).
Additional performances will be at 7 p.m. on Nov. 8, 9, 14, 15 and 16 at the Fayetteville-Lincoln County Museum Theatre. There will also be a 2 p.m. matinee on Nov. 9 in conjunction with Host of Christmas Past. It’s a Wonderful Life will be produced by special arrangement with The Dramatic Publishing Company of Woodstock, Illinois.
