Fayetteville Parks and Recreation Department’s annual Christmas Parade will be held Saturday, Dec. 7, at 5 p.m.

The parade theme is “A Southern Christmas”.

Applications to participate can be picked up at the recreation center starting Nov. 1, and the deadline is Dec. 4

This year, horses will be allowed in the parade. Rules and applications to ride horses can be picked up at the recreation center.

Each person riding has to fill out an application as to whether an individual or group, and he or she will be assigned a number at that time.

The parade grand marshal this year is a special gentleman that most of us know, Greg McArthur. He is an avid sports fan of all local sports and can always be found on the square opening doors for the ladies and helping anyone who needs help.
