Hall office on Alpha Kappa’s Tour of Homes

The quaint Victorian building located at 204 Washington Street East was originally constructed by First Baptist Church in 1891.

The building now houses the Perry Hall office and business, Southeastern Grants and Urban Planning. Office.

Home Tour -- Hall Office --

This building is one of five structures scheduled for a tour during Alpha Kappa Club’s annual home tour, held in conjunction with Fayetteville’s Host of Christmas Past on Sunday, Nov. 10, from 1 until 5 p.m.

Hall began the renovation of the building, otherwise known as the old Rotary building, in 2011. His renovation has included creating a New York-style loft of work zones by returning the space to its original open floor plan. His creative use of salvaged architectural items now defines the lobby, conference room and CEO office.

Eclectic mixes of antiques, contemporary pieces, as well as re-purposed finds, beautifully decorate the office space. A plate glass storefront window now serves as the conference room table which seats up to twelve people. The design concept also incorporates modern art, traditional Egyptian art and other quirky items that reflect Hall’s numerous international travels.

Other places to be shown during the tour include three of Fayetteville’s most beautiful homes and a second business. The tour is an annual fundraising event for college scholarships for local students. This year Alpha Kappa awarded scholarship gifts to two high school seniors and four continuing scholarship beneficiaries this year in the Fayetteville and Lincoln County area.

Alpha Kappa Club invites everyone to learn and enjoy wonderful pieces of Fayetteville history by touring the homes and businesses.

In addition to the Perry Hall Office, the tour includes the Seals Home, at 4002 Paradise Drive, The Brown Home, 8 Robin Hood Road, The Arney Home, 44 Noland Drive, and the Riverbend Events Center, 82 Rambo Road. Advance tickets are $15, but will cost $17 when purchased at any home on the day of the tour. In advance, tickets may be purchased Monday through Friday at Bagley and Bagley Insurance Company located on the north side of the Fayetteville square, Carter’s Drug Store on the east side of the square or from any Alpha Kappa Club member.

Tour information only will be available at the Chamber of Commerce on the day of the tour. Parking is available near the tour homes.
