Lady Falcon ‘Pink Out’ volleyball Thursday

Lincoln County High School’s Lady Falcon volleyball team picked up a win last week hosting the Giles County’s Lady Bobcats.

The Lady Falcons took the victory 3-0 win, with scores of 25-13, 25-19 and 25-23.

For their next action, the ladies were to host Columbia Tuesday, Sept. 24, with the junior varsity game beginning at 5 p.m. and varsity to follow.

Thursday the ladies are scheduled to host Franklin County with JV action getting underway at 5 p.m. followed by the varsity. It will also be “Pink Out Night” for the Lady Falcons to bring awareness to cancer. One member of the team, a senior, Megan Walker is a cancer survivor.

On March 10, 2004, Megan with diagnosed with Anti-Plastic Large Cell Lymphoma – a type of blood cancer. After receiving 13 months of chemotherapy, Megan has been cancer-free for the past eight and a half years. She returns to Vanderbilt Hospital once-a-year for a checkup.
