Lady Falcon soccer at 2-0 start

Soccer BallLincoln County High School’s Lady Falcon soccer team is off to its best start in recent years with a 2-0 record.

The ladies won on the road over District 8-AAA rival Coffee County last week, 2-1.

The Lady Red Raiders were first to put a goal on the board with a controversial penalty kick around the 15-minute mark.

From that point on, the ladies’ defense played strong as keeper Ashley Yatsko finished with 10 saves.

Lincoln County’s first goal came at the 29th minute on a shot by Anna Barnes with an assist by Sydney Fee.

At the 58-minute mark, Amy Cobb found the net to seal the win for the Lady Falcons.

For their next action, the ladies host Giles County Tuesday with game time at 5 p.m. Thursday, LCHS returns to district action hosting Columbia at 5 p.m.
