Motlow marks important dates
With the opening of the fall semester fast approaching, Motlow College officials are reminding students and potential students of several important dates they need to be aware of this month.
Aug. 16 – Students who have not yet applied for admission for the fall term can do so at any Motlow College site or online through Aug. 16. This applies also to students interested in earning high school and college credit for courses in the Dual Enrollment Program and those enrolling in the Adult College Express Program.
Online applications can be accessed from the “Apply Now” tab on the Motlow College website’s homepage at www.mscc.edu.
Greer Alsup, Motlow’s director of admissions, said students also need to be aware of the following dates:
Aug. 20 and 21 – Students already registered for classes but who have not paid fees have until midnight on Aug. 20 to do so. From 7 to 8 a.m. on Aug. 21, the class schedules of students who missed the payment deadline will be deleted. Alsup said these students will have to register again, making it more difficult to get their desired class schedules.
Also on Aug. 21, offices on the Moore County campus and at the Fayetteville, McMinnville and Smyrna centers will be closed until 1:30 p.m. to permit all college faculty and staff members to attend convocation on the Moore County campus.
Aug. 24 – Saturday classes at Motlow’s Smyrna Center and Regents Online classes begin.
Aug. 26 – Regular fall classes begin at all sites.
Aug. 26, 27 and 28 – Students can register during this late registration period but will be accessed a $25 late registration fee.
