Competitive trail event set

Greystone Riverdale Events is hosting a Competitive Trail Challenge Oct. 19-20 for the benefiting of the Leg Up Therapeutic Riding Center, a nonprofit organization in Pulaski.

Sanctioned by the American Competitive Trial Horse Association, the benefit will offer a trail obstacle challenge, six miles of trail with judged obstacles along the Elk River. Divisions include open, pleasure, scout, junior and buddy, a noncompetitive event. Ribbons will be awarded in first through sixth places for all divisions.

Persons can register online at www.actha.us. Checkin will be held at 9 a.m., with a riders’ briefing at 10 a.m. and first riders out at 11 a.m. Dinner will follow the ride, and awards will be presented after the dinner.

All riders under 18 years of age must wear a helmet. Space is limited to the first 100 riders per day. RV hookups and stabling are available..
