The 12th Annual Kids Fishing Day will be held Saturday, June 8, at Stonebridge Park Pond in Fayetteville.

The free fishing rodeo is presented by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, Fayetteville Parks and Recreation, Walmart, Tennessee Wildlife Officers Association and the Lincoln County Mayor and Commission.

The event will be held from 8 a.m. until noon, with registration starting at 7 a.m. There is no rain out date.

The fishing rodeo is for all kids who can hold a pole up to age 12. No license is needed for kids or those assisting them.

Some poles, tackle and bait will be available for use for free, but please bring your own if possible.

There will be free hot dogs and drinks.

Many prizes will be given away. There will be games, tagged money fish and trophies for the top three weights.

The pond will be stocked with over 2,000-pounds of catfish.

Stonebridge Park is located at the intersection of Highway 231/431 and Highway 64 bypass, Thornton Taylor Parkway.
