Bomb threat investigated
Authorities are continuing to investigate a bomb threat that was received on the campus of the Motlow College Fayetteville Center last week.
Thursday at approximately 1:30 p.m. the Fayetteville Police Department was notified that the campus had received a bomb threat, said Detective Lt. Joel Massey. The campus buildings were immediately evacuated.
Bomb-sniffing canines were brought in from Nashville by the Tennessee Highway Patrol to make a sweep of the buildings on the college’s Winchester Highway campus here.
“At approximately 5:15 p.m. the all-clear was given at the campus,” said Massey, adding that nothing was found. The threat, however, does remain under investigation, the detective said.
