Tony Beddingfield, 58, of Fayetteville, died Monday (April 22, 2013) at Huntsville Hospital. A native of Lincoln County, Mr. Beddingfield was the son of the late Jr. and Mary Ellen Ables Beddingfield and was a truck driver for BPI Industries. He is survived by his wife, Zerita Flynn Beddingfield of Fayetteville; daughter, Nicole and Nathan Parker of Elkmont, Ala.; grandchildren, Brett, Katelyn and Nyla Parker; and three brothers, Sandy, Jeff and Tracy Beddingfield. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Rocky Lee Beddingfield. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at Higgins Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Smith officiating. Burial followed in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. The family requests memorials be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society. Higgins Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Cecil C. Davis, 84, of Huntland, died Sunday (April 28, 2013) at his residence. He served as a master sergeant in the U.S. Air Force in Korea and was an electronics technician. Preceding him in death were his parents, Henry Davis and Viola Reed Davis, and two sisters, Mary Frances Davis and Bea Elliott. Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Yates Davis of Huntland; daughters, Cheryl (Frank) Anderson of Marietta, Ga., and Susan Davis of Huntland; sisters, Evalene McCaleb of Huntland, Winnie Gatlin of Fayetteville, Augustine Smith of Petersburg, Lou Gatlin of Fayetteville and Beulah Davis of Huntland; grandsons, Leif Davis, Rueben Anderson and Edward Anderson; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday (May 1) at 10 a.m. at Moore-Cortner Chapel with the Rev. Bob Hill officiating. Cuffy (Guy) Fogg, 57, originally of Mingo County, W. Va., died Thursday (April 4, 2013) in Watsonville, Calif. He was the son of the late Bobby G. Fogg (Ann) of Fayetteville and the late Norma J. (Dan) Steele of Arizona. Survivors include Mrs. Fogg; his siblings, Cynthia Ables of Fayetteville, Allison Crabtree of Anniston, Ala., Bob Fogg III of Kelso, Aladdin (Lad) Cochran of Delbarton, W. Va., and Danny Varney of Tracy, Calif.; children, Shae F. Kirkman and Robert G. Fogg, both of Morgan Hill, Calif., and Jeffrey S. Fogg of Scotts Valley, Calif.; and grandchildren, Kiandra Kirkman and Makaela Kirkman, both of Morgan Hill, and Daniel S. Fogg of Scotts Valley. Services are planned at Round Hill Cemetery in Marshall County where a portion of Guy’s ashes will be buried beside his father. The remainder of his ashes will remain in California with his children. Guy’s brother, Bob, will be the speaker for the services.
Ruth Foster, 97, of Fayetteville, died Sunday (April 28, 2013) at her daughter’s residence. A native of Lincoln County, Mrs. Foster was the daughter of the late Elsie and Minnie Harrison Coble. She was an inspector for Serbin Fashions and a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Wanda Lineberger of Fayetteville; grandson, Teddy Lineberger of Fayetteville; great-grandson, Donald Lineberger and Stacie Vance of Shelbyville; great-great-granddaughter, Dejah Leigh Lineberger of Shelbyville; adopted granddaughter, Stephanie Haston of Mulberry; and a niece, Geraldine Slayton of the Coldwater Community. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home. Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Shiloh Cemetery with the Rev. Ron Arrick and Lamont Carter officiating. Burial will be beside her husband, Charles Foster. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shiloh Cemetery. Clifton Dale Hall, 56, of Winchester, died Sunday (April 28, 2013) at his home. He was born Jan. 16, 1957 in Huntland. Surviving are wife, Teresa Martin Hall; parents, Clyde and Sara Hall; brother, David (Marcella) Hall; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were to be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with the Rev. Jack Hice officiating. Interment was to follow in Beech Hill Cemetery, Winchester. Serving as pallbearers are Randall Gray, Mickey Deal, Pat Martin, Rodney Martin, Troy Hasty and Jeff Martin, with Tyler Martin and Scottie Martin serving as honorary pallbearers. Franklin Dee Isbell, 73, of Hazel Green, Ala., died Monday (April 22, 2013) at Crestwood Medical Center. He was born in Madison County, Ala., on April 21, 1940 to the late James and Allie Rachel Thompson Isbell. He was retired from Dixie Metalcraft Corp. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sisters, Ethel Marie Williamson, Carolyn Rose Isbell and Kathy Guffey; brothers, Herbert, Lee and Bud Moore, Samuel and W.A. Isbell; and one great-grandchild. Mr. Isbell is survived by his wife, Pauline Isbell of Hazel Green; daughters, Kimla and Roger Weeks of Cave Creek, Ariz., Cheryl and William Moorehead of Elora, Charlotte and Phillip Moorehead of Flintville, Kalan and Tony Anderson of Shelbyville, Kelly and Glenn Gustafson of Hazel Green; sons, Craig Isbell of Elora, Gary and Pat Patterson of New Market, Ala., Jeff Patterson of Toney, Ala., and Phillip Patterson of Huntsville, Ala.; sister, Annie Mae and Durwood Satterfield of Hazel Green; sister-in-law, Jody Moore of Fayetteville; brother-in-law, Lowell Guffey of Scottsboro, Ala.; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home. Burial followed in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Plevna, Ala. Thomascita Pack, 59, of Flintville, died Thursday, (April 11, 2013) at St. Thomas Hospital. She was born in Chicago, Ill., on Feb. 20, 1954 to the late Thomas J. and Rosemary Romo Perez. She was employed at McDonald’s. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Tina Louise Pack, and brothers, Thomas P. Perez and Ralph Ruiz. Mrs. Pack is survived by her husband, William E. Pack of Flintville; son, Thomas Pack of Flintville; sisters, Linda Ryniec and Anita Finnegan, both of Chicago; brother, Greg Ruiz of Chicago; granddaughter, Aryana Faye Hill; and niece, Charlene Vanessa Moore of Fayetteville. Funeral services were held on Monday, April 29, in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Johnson officiating. Burial followed in Lebanon Cemetery. Elise Black Towry, 92, of Bagley Drive, Fayetteville, died Wednesday (April 24, 2013) at Donalson Care Center. She was a retired school teacher and a member of Fayetteville First United Methodist Church. Private graveside services will be held. Burial will be in Riverview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church Building Fund. Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
