Lincoln County’s Evan Buck claimed first place and an honorable mention in the junior division of the “Shutterbug – Rural Tennessee” photo contest, which was featured in the March print and online editions of the Tennessee Magazine.

This year there were over 2,400 entries in the statewide contest.

Evan’s first place photo, “Stars Through the Walnut”, was a star trail photo taken with an extended time exposure with a 35mm film camera. The photo depicts rotation of the stars around the North Star (Polaris) looking through a walnut tree on Evan’s property.

His honorable mention photo depicts two of his siblings around a family campfire.

Evan is a homeschooled sophomore in Lincoln County and enjoys photography as one of his hobbies.
