Deputies with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to a “shots fired” call in the Windwood Subdivision in southern Lincoln County about 2 a.m. Sunday morning.
“Upon arrival, they met with two subjects who stated they were in the residence when a domestic argument escalated, and they heard a gunshot in the bedroom,” the sheriff said. “The couple immediately ran from the house and then heard numerous other shots.”
Deputies immediately entered the residence and found the bodies of two white males and that of a white female in the bedroom.
The bodies have been sent to the state medical examiner for autopsy and positive identification.
