FMS Tiger win streak continues
Fayetteville Middle School’s Tiger baseball team improved their record to 9-3 with wins last week over Huntland and Community Middle Schools
The young Tiger team put up back-to-back no hitters
On Thursday, FMS traveled to Unionville and won over Community’s Vikings, 10-0, in seven innings.
Will Clark went the distance, recording his second no-hitter of the season, recording 14 strikeouts and 3 walks.
Back to back, two RBI doubles by Clark and Lex Marsh put four runs on the board in the third.
In the seventh, the Tigers tacked on six more runs on hits by Brandon Moore, Bill Flynt and Marquice Emmons.
Wednesday, the Tigers traveled to Huntland and took the win, 16-2, in five innings.
Worth Watson worked the mound, going the distance in a no-hitter, putting up 8 strikeouts in the books.
At the plate, four Tiger players reached on every at bat during the game. They were Bill Flynt, Lex Marsh, Zorian Pullen and Marquice Emmons.
For their final action of the regular season, the Tigers were to host Westwood on Monday.
