Sneed new Behavioral Health director
Larry D. Sneed, RN, MSN, JD, has joined the Lincoln County Health System as the new Behavioral Health director.
He comes to Fayetteville with over 20 years of experience in healthcare. He has worked in a clinical practice, healthcare operations, health and elder law and regulatory and administrative affairs. His combined background in both clinical training and law has allowed him to work with more than 250 acute care hospitals and related facilities.
Larry is a graduate and former faculty member of Vanderbilt University School of Nursing where he received the masters of science in nursing. In addition to his clinical work, Larry is also a licensed attorney practicing in the areas of health law, policy and regulatory affairs.
He is a graduate of the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University where he was named an Abraham Curuthers Fellow in Legal Research and received recognition for Distinguished Achievement in Legal Writing. In the private sector, Larry maintains a legal consulting practice in the areas of Medicare and Medicare law, disability, special needs trusts and administration and elder care.
He is an active member of the American Bar Association, the American Health Lawyers Association and the American Society of Law, Medicine and Ethics. He serves as counsel to healthcare organizations and physician practices in the areas of regulatory affairs, business development and transactional matters with particular interests in medical staff development, succession in planning and physician relations.
