Fayetteville High School’s Lady Tiger softball team gets its second season underway in 2013. The ladies will play a junior varsity schedule again this season.
FHS is led again by Coach Katie Hill. She is assisted by Coach Kim Brewer.
With a roster of nine, the Lady Tigers will need to stay healthy. With one junior in the upperclassmen role on the team, Cheyenne May, the six sophomores, Olivia Paris, Devon Balsama, Bethany Becker, Taylor Bryan, Allie Heffington and Haley Martin, will need to step up and be leaders. The ladies have two freshmen who will be on the field full time, Riley Fleming and Rebecca Hall.
But, the ladies have a program in place at Fayetteville Middle School to develop young talent, led by the experience of Coach Jana Towry.
The Lady Tigers picked up nine games on their schedule this season. For their next action, the ladies travel to Moore County on Wednesday starting at 4:30 p.m. The ladies’ first home action of the season is April 1, hosting Huntland starting at 5 p.m. Home games are played at Don Davidson Park.
