Fred and Rinda Clark of Deer Valley Farms and Mike Wetherington of American Development Corp. recently presented checks to Friends of the Lincoln County Sheriff (FoLCS) for the purchase of equipment that will enhance the efficiency of the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department.
“Members of FoLCS and the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department would like to thank the Clarks and Mike Wetherington for their generous support,” said Randy Smith, president of FoLCS. “The donations are greatly appreciated and will be spent to enhance the efficiency of the department.”

Doug Boeringer and Mike Pitts, members of the sheriff’s department SWAT team, showed some of the equipment the funds are assisting the department with, including helmets, gas masks, holsters for a Glock 21 with lights, stream light tactical LED gun lights, and other gear, as well as U.S. and Tennessee flags.
While on hand for the presentation, the group was also given a tour of the newly built courtroom that is now located at the sheriff’s department. The funding also assisted with that project in an effort to increase safety and security in cases.
