Community services to be held for Holy Week

A Community Palm Sunday Service will be held on Sunday, March 24, at the Fayetteville Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church.

The service will begin at 6 p.m. at the church, located at 1720 Huntsville Highway in Fayetteville. A combined choir will perform, and the preacher will be the Rev. Tommy H. Ward of the First United Methodist Church of Fayetteville.

Then mid-day Holy Week services will be held Monday through Friday, March 25-29, at the First United Methodist Church, 200 North Elk Avenue, Fayetteville. Each day’s service will begin at 12:05 p.m., with a meal from 12:30 to 1 p.m.

The First United Methodist Church will also host a community Maundy Thursday evening service on Thursday, March 28, beginning at 6:30 p.m., as well as an evening service on Good Friday, March 29, which will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Easter services at First United Methodist will be held on Sunday, March 31, at 8:30 a.m. and at 11 a.m.
