Motlow students help film TV program

The students assisted Hix during the filming of a television program at MTSU earlier this month. Hix, Dr. Tammy Shelton and Dr. Terry Sue Fanning filmed Common Core, Technology and Teaching Strategies, which aired live and was archived for teacher training across the state with the Tennessee Electronic Learning Center. This is Hix’s 12th year of working with the program. Hawkins, of Murfreesboro, and Stewart, of Estill Springs, are students in Hix’s psychology of human development and learning honors class. Shelton is executive director of content and resources for the Tennessee Department of Education, and Fanning is supervisor of instruction for Lincoln County Schools.
