FCCLA’ers help fellow students
Jessica Smith and Chelsy Mathis, students in the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) at Lincoln County High School, pause for a photo with some of the items collected for fellow LCHS students who are having a difficult time financially.
Lincoln County High School members of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) recently took up donations of personal hygiene items for high school students who are currently having a difficult time financially.
“We were hoping to fill enough bags for five students,” said Advisor Renea Thomas. “I am always amazed at how generous our students are when it comes to helping others.”
Jessica Smith, an FCCLA member, added, “We ended up with enough items for 10 students with items left over.”
This is a yearly project sponsored by FCCLA. The groups gave the filled bags to the guidance department at the school. The bags will be given out anonymously as needs arise.
