Children enjoy learning about the Underground Railroad as part of the Fayetteville-Lincoln County Public library’s celebration of Black History Month. Kids heard stories about Harriett Tubman and learned about the secret language of quilts used throughout the Underground Railroad network. They colored their own quilt squares while hearing music and hymns contemporary to the time. The activities were all part of Story Hour and Trail Blazers held each Wednesday at the public library.
