Readers’ Choice voting pushed back
Due to a large volume of nominations being received in the last two days of The Times’ 2013 Readers Choice Awards, online voting will not begin until late next week.
The annual Readers’ Choice Awards will see the top two businesses and individuals nominated in each of almost 80 categories being placed in an online survey where folks can make their final picks.
“Thousands of votes have been cast this year, and we’re excited about the phenomenal response,” said Lucy Williams, editor and publisher of The Times. “We’ll be counting ballots through this week and into next week, and then we’ll build our online survey.
“In next week’s edition, we’ll announce when online voting will be available. Hopefully, it’ll be toward the end of next week.”
The online poll will remain on The Times’ website for two weeks to give everyone ample time to vote, said Williams.
“Again, we appreciate everyone’s participation and support,” she added. “Response like this is what makes our annual Readers’ Choice Awards so popular.”
