Blanche seeks funds for football bleachers
Blanche School's former coach, Jim Cooper (at left), and current coach, Scott Woodfin, break ground on the visitors' side of the football field where new bleachers will be erected in the coming weeks.
The old bleachers on the visitors’ side of the Blanche School football field were removed last year, and the school is in the process of rebuilding them this spring.
The school has $5,000 toward funding the construction of these bleachers, but the school needs $5,000 to $7,000 in additional funds to complete this project.
Any money collected that is not needed for this project will be used to retire the debt on the lighting of the field.
Former football players, cheerleaders, alumni, businesses or any supporters of Blanche School are asked to make donations to this project. Not only can people make monetary donations, but supplies like blocks and concrete are needed, as well as people to help with the constructing of the bleachers, welding and laying blocks.
Please call Coach Scott Woodfin at Blanche School at 425-6141 if you can help with construction.
Mail your donations to Blanche School, 1649 Ardmore Highway, Taft, TN 38488, or bring them to the school and give to Pam Bottom, school secretary, who will provide a receipt for your tax-deductible donation.
All individuals and businesses will be recognized for their gifts, regardless of the amount. A plaque will be erected on the field with the names of those who contribute time, money or materials.
This project has to be completed by the end of the school year.
Anyone with questions may contact former football coach, Jim Cooper, at 425-6432 or present coach, Scott Woodfin, who are heading up this project.
The goal is to build something that will serve the school and the community for years to come.
Blanche School thanks you, in advance, for your support of this project.
