“A Night of Comedy”

The Strand Theatre will be the home of “A Night of Comedy,” on Saturday, March 9th  2013.

The original stage play is written by, and will be directed by, Centerville’s actor, playwright and director Clay Harris.

“Harris is well known to the Middle Tennessee area for his unique style of coaching and directing actors, by highlighting their natural talents, in a fashion that produces outstanding entertainment.  Even the casting call, earlier this month was hilarious, accredited to Harris’s creative skit prompting techniques,” stated Scarlette Woodall, Strand Theatre Manager.

The 90 minute live comedy show will lend to the style of yesteryear comedians Red Skelton, Lucille Ball, and Jerry Lewis -comedy acts, with a “Saturday Night Live,” style programming of skits, commercials, and music; all family friendly.  This  is what Harris has envisioned for the Strand acting troupe.  Approximately, twenty two actor’s ages ranging from 9-60 yrs have committed to bringing the Strand Theatre stage to life, in this sure to be hilariously funny Strand Presentation.
