Paws for a Cause 5K Run, 1K Walk set

Paws for CauseOn March 16, the Middle Tennessee Spay and Neuter Clinic (MTSNC) will hold its 5th annual Paws for a Cause 5K Run and 1K Walk at the Calsonic Area Pavilion on Whitthorne Street in Shelbyville.

Registration is from 8:30-9:30 a.m. or you can pre-register on-line by March 10 at Active.com to get a free tee shirt commemorating the race. Registration forms may also be obtained at the Lincoln County Animal Shelter and mailed in. The registration fee is $25.

Participants are encouraged to bring their dog to join the run or walk, but make sure it’s leashed, friendly, and up-to-date on its shots, say organizers.

For more information, log on the MTSNC web site at www.mtsnc.org.

The clinic is moving to a larger space this spring and needs some additional equipment, so all proceeds from this event will go toward purchasing necessary surgical equipment for the clinic or to sponsor the surgery for pet owners who can’t afford even MTSNC’s low rates.
