The John R. Massey Camp No. 152, Sons of the Confederate Veterans, will meet on Thursday, Feb. 14, in the Fayetteville Municipal Building auditorium.
Camp Commander Dr. James Armitage will call the meeting to order at 7 p.m.
Dr. Michael Bradley is the guest speaker for the evening. He will be speaking on the Confederate Calvary General Nathan Bedford Forrest. Bradley is a well known author of 19 books. He is a retired history professor from Motlow State College, where he taught for 36 years. His most recent book is, “They Rode with Forrest”, published by Pelican Press in 2012. Dr. Bradley will have some of his latest books on the Civil War in Tennessee with him and will sign all books purchased that evening.
The regular camp business meeting will follow the program. The meeting and program are free and open to anyone interested in southern history.
