NATIONAL PIG DAY

National Pig Day is an event, established in 1972, and celebrated annually on March 1.
The purpose of National Pig Day is to accord the pig its rightful, though generally not recognized, place as one of man’s most intellectual and domesticated animals. For much too long pigs have been thought of as dirty and dumb. But over the past several years pigs have received attention in advertisements, books, songs and illustrations. I am sure everyone has noticed the ads about little pig on an airplane and in other situations. And to call attention to how smart pigs really are, the legendary Christmas recording artist, Patsy Trigg, has a song, an eBook, a video and an audio book, all entitled: Its A Merry Christmas When Pigs Fly.
