Motlow gets good alumni report card
Motlow College alumni gave the college A’s in their responses to several top questions in an alumni survey conducted earlier this year, according to Dr. MaryLou Apple, president of the college.
More than 95 percent of the Motlow College alumni surveyed is “satisfied” or “very satisfied” with the educational experience they received at the college, and the same percentage said they “definitely” or “probably yes” would recommend the college to others.
Also, more than 93 percent answered the question, “If you could start college again, would you enroll at MSCC?” with “definitely” or “probably yes”.
“This is wonderful news,” Apple said. “Motlow College alumni are valuable sources of information, and we are working to keep the lines of communication open among them and faculty and staff members at the college.
“Alumni answers on the survey helped us pinpoint processes that need improvement to better serve our students and also helped us better understand the individual needs and expectations of the students themselves.”
Apple said the purpose of an alumni survey is to gather feedback from graduates regarding their perceptions of the college and their experiences both inside and outside the classroom while they were students at Motlow.
In addition to questions about college services such as advising and financial aid, the survey included questions that focused on the classroom experience, interaction with faculty and other students, the use of technology, and employment relating to majors.
