News from local 4-H clubs highlighted

Lincoln County 4-H Clubs have submitted meeting reports for the month.

Blanche Middle

The regular meeting of Mrs. Tressie McLemore’s fifth grade class at Blanche Middle School was held on Dec. 7 at 8:15 a.m.

The pledges were led by Sarah Porter and Sarah Rickles. This month’s activity was piggy banks and posters.

Those who received ribbons were Ryleigh Dunn, Reagan McNeill, Brooke Osborn, Evan Pollard, Luke Simmons, Sarah Porter, Sophia Posey, Briley Fitch and Lacey Watridge, first place; Briley Fitch, Lacey Watridge, Karin Corbin, Kole Phillips and Sarah Porter, second place; and Sophia Posey and Zach Ratley.

The next meeting will be held Feb. 1, and the next activity will be demonstrations.

Riverside Christian

The regular meeting of Mrs. Magrone’s fifth grade class at Riverside Christian Academy was held Dec. 4 at 2 p.m.

The pledges were led by Bethany and Libby. This month’s activity was posters and piggy banks.

Those who received first place ribbons for posters were Dawson, Ross, Libby and Madde. Taking second place were Justin, Garrett, Will, Riley, Megan, Alexander, Hudson and Bethany.

Taking first place in piggy banks were Megan, Justin, Libby, Ross, Madde and Alexander.

Unity School

The regular meeting of Mrs. McCulloch’s fourth grade class at Unity School was held on Nov. 2.

The pledges were led by Anabella Tedders and Walt Ray. This month’s activity was speeches.

Those who received first place ribbons were Destinee Rhea, Kylie Reese, Hannah Litaker, Krist Curtis, Sierra Madden, Macayla Pierce, Logan Warren, Gillian Holt, Cheyenne Cartwright and Maggie Dunivan, Will King, Caden Teesateskie, Gracie Schutt, Michael Clark, Raven Beard, Natalie Flores, Walt Ray, Austin Hood, Journey Wheat and Lukus Wolfe.

Homeschool

The regular meeting of 4-H Homeschool Club was held on Dec. 14 at 10 a.m.

The pledges were led by Jonah Whitehead and Hayley Cowan.

This month’s activity was posters and piggybanks.

Those who received 1st place ribbons for posters are Sam Swinford, Chayton Stephens, Zoe Cowan, Lily Cowan, Hayley Cowan, Carlee Cowan, Sophia Reese, Scotty Reese, Katy Reese, Zoe Reese, Sean Rascoe, Sabrina Rascoe, Travis Leimer, Jesse Franklin, and Ben Fisk. Those who received 2nd place in posters are Jude Baruzzini, Phillip Baruzzini, Asher Black, and Melina Black. Those who received 3rd place are Aaron Lyon and Sam Lyon.

Those who received 1st place in piggybank entries are Melina Black, Bri Ann Buford, Dakota Buford, Carlee Cowan, Lily Cowan, Zoe Cowan, Ben Fisk, Jesse Franklin, Travis Leimer, Sam Line, Sabrina Rascoe, Sean Rascoe, Katy Reese, Scotty Reese, Sophia Reese, Zoe Reese, Chayton Stephens, Tahlia Stephens, Sam Swinford, Jesse Whitehead and Jonah Whitehead.

The next meeting will be held on Feb. 15, and the activity will be giving demonstrations.

Fayetteville Middle

The regular meeting of Heather Bradley’s fourth grade class at Fayetteville Middle School was held on Dec. 11 at 9:45 a.m. The Pledge of Allegiance and the 4-H Pledge were led by Daniel Lindsey and Angel Lopez. This month’s activities were posters and piggy banks.

Those who received ribbons were: posters, first place, Hunter Kilpatrick, Jackson Killebrew, Ashlee Jean, Sara Clark, Angel Lopez, Ashlynn Bailey, Emily Jones, Kendall Wright, Lake Konyndyk and Kendreon Mastin, and second place, Santana Carrillo, Daniel Lindsey  and Zayshon Pullen; piggy banks, first place, Julia Cox, Sara Clark, Ashlynn Bailey, Madison McCormick, Kendall Wright, Santana Carrillo, Trey Allen, Daniel Lindsey, Treyton Ridley and Michael Morales.

There were no second place winners for piggy banks. The next meeting will be held on Feb. 12, 2013, and the next activity will be demonstrations.

The regular meeting of Mrs. Peige’s fifth grade class at Fayetteville Middle School was held on Dec. 11 at 12:15 p.m. The pledges were led by Jaqualeona Holman and Madison Posey.

This month’s activity was piggy banks and posters. Those who received ribbons for piggy banks were: first place, Will Ellis, Wesley Thornton and Audrey Freeman; second place, Benjamin Smith and Wyatt Buchanan; third place, Dylan Allen, Jaqualeona Holman and Madison Posey.

The regular meeting of Mrs. Toon’s fifth grade class at Fayetteville Middle School was held on Dec. 11 at 2 p.m.

The pledges were led by Ian Winand and Mollie Gordon. This month’s activity was piggy banks and 4-H posters.

Those who received ribbons for posters were, first place, Shavion Edmiston, Jesse Evans, Mollie Gordon, Carter Hill, Libby Quick, Abbie Horsman; second place, Riley Edwards, Piper Higgs, Zach Snoddy, Elijah Warrick; third place, Nathan Clutts, Alexxa Cruz, KaZhanna Mastin, Cullum Spurlock, Antonio Reynoso.

Those who received ribbons for piggy banks were, first place, Alexxa Cruz, Nathan Clutts, Mollie Gordon, Abbie Horsman, Seth Moyers, Zach Snoddy, Cullum Spurlock, Antonio Reynoso, Elijah Warrick, Riley Edwards, and second place, Libby Quick, Jesse Evans, Randall West and Jiemer Wilson.

The first meeting of Mr. Hobbs’ 5th grade class at Fayetteville Middle School was held on Oct. 12 at 1 p.m.

We filled out enrollment forms and elected officers.  Those were President, Garrett Gardner; Vice-President, Erin Bradford; Secretary, Kaitlyn Roan; Activity Leader, Dacoleon Kelso; and Reporter, Levi Sloan.

The next activity will be speech, and the next meeting will be held on Nov. 13, 2012.

The regular meeting of Mr. Hobbs’ 5th grade class at Fayetteville Middle School was held on Nov. 13 at 12:15 p.m. 

The pledges were led by Levi Sloan and Virginia Thompson. 

This month’s activity was speeches.
