Austin Lockard, charged in connection with the death of a 21-year-old man last August, was indicted by the grand jury Tuesday on one count of vehicular homicide, one count of reckless homicide and two counts of failure to render aid.
Lockard failed to appear for arraignment in a hearing following the grand jury indictment Tuesday afternoon, and consequently, he is being sought by authorities. His next court appearance is set for Jan. 8.
The state contends that Lockard left Bradley Joe Durham, 21, of Fayetteville on the side of Highway 110 to die after Durham was ejected from Lockard’s moving vehicle on Sunday evening, Aug. 19.
