Hands of Mercy sets Christmas dinner

Hands of Mercy Outreach Center will be hosting a Community Christmas Dinner at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds’ Exhibit Building on Tuesday, Dec. 18.

“We will have two dinner times being served at 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. for those families who are in need and would like to share a Christmas meal,” said Tina Hudson, Hope Assembly of God Church administrator.

“We will have food, music, door prizes and a small gift for all the children that are present.”

All volunteers are asked to wear black pants and a white shirt. If you are interested in being a volunteer/server, please call 433-7604 and sign up. When calling, please state whether it’s to volunteer or to make reservations for dinner.

Reservations must be made in order to get an accurate count for food preparation.

“We welcome church/school groups or individuals to get involved,” said Hudson.

“We are very excited about this Christmas dinner and hope this will become an annual outreach for Hands of Mercy. We are preparing to make this a very special night for all those in attendance.”
