The Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association has completed the 2013 district alignment.
As expected, the Tigers are part of District 9-A on the gridiron, and Fayetteville High School’s football coach, Alvin Palmer, has completed the school’s first schedule as a varsity program.
“I’m excited about the district we’re playing in and the schedule we’ve got together,” Coach Palmer said. “I feel like we can compete well. The only change was Cascade was move up to District 12A, and they will play 3A ball in the playoffs.
“We’ll work hard on our strength and conditioning in the off season to be as ready as we possibly can to represent Fayetteville High School well.”
The Tigers will not play in week zero and will not have an open date once their season gets underway.
FHS kicks off their season Aug. 23 against Richland at home; Sept. 6, Community, away; Sept. 13, Middle Tennessee Christian, home; Sept. 20, Moore County, away; Oct. 4, Eagleville, home; Oct. 11, Page, away; Oct, 18, Huntland, home; Oct. 25, Friendship Christian, away; and Nov. 1 the Tigers have Forrest at home.
